TFE Hotels

TFE Hotels celebrates its tenth year operating Australian designed and managed apartment hotels in Germany, with the opening of two new hotels in coming months at trendy Leipzig and Hamburg.

Toga Hospitality (now TFE Hotels) opened its first hotel in Germany in 2007 at the famous Berlin Wall crossing point Checkpoint Charlie in the Mitte district, known as Berlin’s beating heart. The group created a new niche for high quality apartment hotels and today the brand is flourishing there, working towards opening its tenth hotel in Germany, which is set to open in Munich in 2019.

Adina Apartment Hotels provide guests with a “home away from home” atmosphere, offering studios or apartments that have their own kitchen, laundry and living room, with the bonus of a 24-hour reception with friendly and knowledgeable hotel teams, restaurant and fitness centre with gym equipment, jacuzzi, pool and sauna. With Adina hotels managed by TFE Hotels, headquartered in Sydney, Aussie travellers will get a little touch of home away from home while in Germany, with Aboriginal art works and even Vegemite on the breakfast buffet!

The Adina Apartment Hotel Leipzig opens in November 2017 in the city’s historic city centre and beside the medieval market square. This beautiful redeveloped office building turned hotel is one of only two high-rise buildings in the charming old town, next to the Museum of Modern Art and the recently opened Bruehl Arcaden shopping mall. Its 131 spacious studio apartments and 35 larger apartments cater to strong corporate demand afforded by Leipzig’s booming economy as a major logistics hub.

Adina Apartment Hotel Hamburg Speicherstadt opens in February 2018 in the centre of Germany’s second largest city, between the famous redeveloped warehouse district ‘Speicherstadt’ and the main shopping district. It is a short walk to the new Elbphilharmonie concert hall and Hamburg’s HafenCity quarter. The hotel’s 202 apartments comprise studios, premier studios, and one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. The fitness area on the first floor enjoys stunning views over Hamburg´s Speicherstadt, with a sauna and swimming pool.

TFE Hotels CEO Rachel Argaman said the German openings were an exciting milestone for TFE Hotels, which had cemented its place as Germany’s primary premium apartment hotel provider since 2007, and added hotels last year in Frankfurt, Europe’s finance and banking capital, and in Nuremberg, the historic medieval town famous for its Christmas markets and castle.”

“Before we launched our Australian model in Germany, there was an existing serviced apartment market, but we applied sophisticated design and excellent service, and a fully-serviced hotel model, in central locations, and found this worked very well,” she said.

“The apartment hotel market will remain a niche segment in Germany, but as the pioneers in this segment, our model has great growth potential, augmented by the increasing mobility of the labour market, a growing city traveller segment and growing demand for flexible accommodation.”
