Cap Maison

Cap Maison, a boutique resort located in the north of St Lucia, has announced its festive programme for the period between 21st December and 3rd January. The resort will offer special activities and menus for you to celebrate the festivities in true Caribbean style.

Christmas Eve

Start your Christmas Eve with Canapes and Chardonnay whilst you watch the sunset from the hotel's clifftop restaurant Cliff at Cap.

At their beach restaurant The Naked Fisherman, experience a hog roast Caribbean style. The chef uses the 'Caja Concept' (where the heat source is on top of a box containing the roast), which means the meat is incredibly tender. Finish the evening by sampling three El Dorado rums: 12 years, 15 years and 21 years aged each, paired specially with truffle chocolates.

Carol singers from the local choir will be entertaining you throughout the evening.

Christmas Day

For the festive feast Chef Craig Jones, who won 2016 Caribbean Chef of the Year, will be preparing a sumptuous dinner with the traditional turkey followed by a Caribbean flavoured Christmas pudding topped with local rum. All this is to be enjoyed whilst you take in the panoramic views over the Caribbean Sea.

Boxing Day

For a 'feet in the sand' lunch the hotel's beach restaurant and grill, The Naked Fisherman, is the place to be. They will be offering a “Lobster Special” all day with fresh lobsters prepared on demand.

New Year's Eve

The Cliff at Cap will be hosting a sumptuous five course dinner along with the traditional glass of champagne. Be sure to dress to impress!

For a more casual dining experience, The Naked Fisherman will be hosting a dinner on the beach with bonfires and a steel band.

Activities

For those looking for a relaxing getaway; private yoga sessions will also be available. Spa Maison, the in-house spa and wellbeing centre, regularly offers relaxing and nourishing massages. As part of the festive programme, it will offer a special treatment on 31st December to get you ready for New Year's Eve. The special Hands and Feet Combo Treatment uses marine salt extract and essential oils to exfoliate and moisturise the skin.

For adventure seekers the hotel will organise several excursions for guests to explore the island.

The Soufriere Adventure Tour involves bathing in warm volcanic mud baths (sulphur springs), snorkelling and swimming followed by a  typical Caribbean lunch to re-energise the batteries.

The East Coast Hike takes guests to discover the wilder waters on this preserved part of the island with a tour guide.

The Pigeon Island Excursion involves a walk around this nearby historical site where many French V English battles were fought, with ruins of military buildings and military barracks, a museum, and an Interpretation Center which offers a brief history of the island. It is also home to two beaches and two hiking trails ranging from moderate to difficult.

You can discover more about the culture of the island by taking part in the Rum & Ale Adventure tour. The involves visits to several plantations and local rum producers.

A garden view room starts from £175 per night on a B&B basis (two sharing) www.capmaison.com 020 8977 6099.
