Renowned for its eminence in delivering exceptional wine and dining experiences, The Fireplace – InterContinental Sanctuary Cove Resort's signature dining restaurant – has been awarded Two Glasses in Australia's Wine List of the Year Awards, recognised by Gourmet Traveller WINE and the Australian Liquor Industry's the drinks Association.

The Two Glasses recognition is awarded under rigorous judging criterion, with judges seeking superiority in content, balance, suitability, presentation and pricing.

Australia's Wine List of the Year Awards said: “The sophistication of the Australian wining and dining scene continues to grow and is reflected in this year's results with again a record number of clubs, pubs, hotels and wine bars achieving the highest levels – either a two or three glass rating. The growth in participation over recent years of the nation's Hotels, Pubs and Wine Bars is also good to see.”

The Fireplace houses one of the most extensive wine lists in the region, offering 368 wines and 21 wines by the glass. Renowned for its seasonal cuisine and local produce, the culinary direction of The Fireplace is led by Executive Chef, Matt Hart, offering a provincial-style wood-fired cuisine. With an extensive beverage offering, The Fireplace features some of the greatest Australian profiles, including Henschke, Penfold's, Kay Brothers and wines from the Bouchard Pere et Fils vineyards.
