Marriott International (NASDAQ: MAR) announced the signing of Courtyard by Marriott Yangon, Myanmar. Located in the former capital and commercial center of the country, the new build hotel owned by Hotel Sule Square Co., Ltd is part of a mixed-use development and is scheduled to open in 2019.

Courtyard by Marriott Yangon's dynamic offerings and welcoming service will cater to both leisure and business guests in Myanmar. The city hotel will feature 200 inviting guestrooms and suites, as well as an Executive Lounge and four meeting rooms totaling 400sqm to host special functions. Local cuisines and international tastes can be savored at the three-meal restaurant or an express meal can be picked up at Momo to Go, before guests enjoy a drink at the Bar & Lounge. Versatile meeting spaces as well as recreational facilities including a rooftop pool, Fitness Center and treatment rooms will leave travelers feeling reenergized.
Located in the gateway city of Yangon, and only 45 minutes away from Yangon International Airport, the Courtyard by Marriott Yangon is in close proximity to key tourist attractions, with the Sule Pagoda, City Hall and Bogyoke Aung San Market a short walk away and China Town and Shwedagon Paragon Pagoda reachable in a few minutes by car. As part of a mixed-use development, retail, tourist markets, cafés and unique architectural buildings are within the immediate vicinity of the hotel.
