Carousel Spices Up Your Gastronomic Experience with Launch of Ice Cream Counter

Round up your gastronomic experience at award-winning buffet restaurant Carousel with a new counter of novelty homemade ice cream created by Executive Pastry Chef, Choo Eng Tat. Guests can look forward to a myriad of ice cold treats including signature flavours such as Fresh Coconut, Chendol and Kaya Toast, which contains an added texture of toast bits for a delightful local touch. Other unique flavours available include Thai Milk Tea and Lemon Thyme Sorbet, which incorporates thyme that is grown on the rooftop of the hotel's premises.

Thirteen tantalising flavours will be displayed during lunch and dinner meal periods and more exciting flavours will be introduced in the coming months to provide a refreshing experience for the taste buds with each visit. With the ice cream counter conveniently located near the entrance of the restaurant, guests will have the opportunity to create their own unique ice cream pairings with freshly-made waffles or cones and top it up with a hodgepodge of condiments comprising the likes of meringues, fruits coulis and a variety of sauces.

As part of the Singapore Restaurant Festival's “Salted Egg Shiok” campaign from July to December 2017, the chefs have specially created a Salted Egg Yolk flavoured ice cream to join in the excitement and bring guests a taste of Singapore's love for salted egg yolk.

The ice cream counter is part of the buffet spread during lunch and dinner meal periods. Lunch is available from 12pm to 2pm at $56++ for adults, $36++ for children on weekdays (Mondays to Fridays) and $65++ for adults, $43++ for children on weekends (Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays). Dinner is available from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at $76++ for adults, $46++ for children on weekdays (Sundays to Thursdays) and $83++ for adult, $49++ for child on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays and eve of Public Holidays). Prices are subject to 10% service charge and prevailing government taxes.

The selection of ice cream is also available for walk-in guests during lunch and dinner meal periods. Served in ice cream cones, a single scoop is available at $6.50+ and a double scoop is available at $10.50+. Each cone comes with free flow of condiments.
