ABTOT, the Association of Bonded Travel Organisers Trust Limited, has strengthened its membership support team with the appointment of a new Membership Secretary, Samantha Bradbury. The new appointment gives ABTOT additional support to prepare members ahead of anticipated changes to the PTRs and the introduction of the Travel Protection Bill.
Following ABTOT's exciting introduction of a total protection service covering both licensable and non-licensable travel (flight-inclusive and non-flight travel) as well as an industry-first card payment service, Samantha's appointment brings valuable support to members looking to take advantage of the brand new services.
Samantha has over twenty years' experience in the insurance and legal industry and a degree in English Law, French Law and French Language. As Membership Secretary Samantha will manage the needs of the current membership as well as assisting Natalie Black, ABTOT Development Manager, in growing membership and promoting ABTOT within the Travel Industry. Natalie Black joined ABTOT in 2001 and has been a driving force behind much of the recruitment and promotion of ABTOT members and affiliates.
Samantha commented: “This is an exciting time to be joining ABTOT as we introduce our new services to members. I look forward to speaking and meeting with all ABTOT members over the next few months. ABTOT already has a reputation as a friendly, welcoming organisation and I'm here to help support members through a pivotal time in the industry.”
Richard Watson, Chief Operating Officer said: “Samantha's understanding of the industry and challenges that new and existing travel organisers face is invaluable to us as we prepare for significant changes to the PTRs. With the new Package Travel Regulations nearly upon us it is essential that travel organisers start planning any appropriate changes to their business models to align with the new requirements. Samantha will be a helpful point of contact for ABTOT members during what could be a challenging time for some.”

About ABTOT
ABTOT was founded in 1993 to provide a straight forward and economical way for specialist travel organisers to comply with their obligations under the Package Travel Regulations (PTRs) originally introduced in 1992. ABTOT offers financial protection for both professional and occasional travel organisers that provide non-licensable and licensable travel, meaning any non-flight and flight-inclusive packages. This includes independent travel organisers that sell holidays directly to customers, as well as clubs, societies, associations and charities who occasionally organise trips.
