Frontier Ski has seen an increase in skiers wanting a "multi-centre" ski vacation so that they can explore different resorts. Canada is ideally placed to offer this as there are many resorts within easy reach of each other but yet offering very different terrain and atmosphere.
For instance Frontier's Powder Explorer with prices starting from £1699 per person allows clients to ski in the glories of Banff National Park, the challenging resort of Kicking Horse with its ski-in/ski-out convenience and Panorama with extensive terrain and the chance to heli-ski right from the resort. From Panorama, clients drive their SUV along the Columbia Valley to Kimberly whichh boasts some of the most stunning views in the whole of the Rockies and finish their holiday in the renowned snow bowls of Fernie.
While the Powder Explorer would be best enjoyed by advanced skiers, the White Peaks Safari is perfect for any level of skier and combines two of our favourite resorts: Sun Peaks and Big White. They both have plenty of ski in/out accommodation, après-ski for all ages including snowmobiling, tubing and skating and miles of beautifully groomed pistes. Prices start from £ per person including Air Canada flights into Kelowna, all transfers and accommodation.
For absolutely stunning scenery, it is hard to beat the Canadian Rockies. The Alberta Rockies holiday combines Banff, Jasper and Lake Louise for a laid back ski holiday. Suitable for any level of skier, this one will include one of the most spectacular drives in the world, the Icefields Parkway which links Lake Louise and Jasper. Guests are warned to look out for wildlife on the road as elk are frequently to be seen. Prices including Air Canada flights into Calgary, the rental of an SUV with unlimited mileage tax and insurance plus accommodation start from only £1497 for a fourteen day holiday.
As the name suggests the BC Extreme is perfect for the advanced skier, combining Silver Star, Revelstoke and Kicking Horse. These lesser-known resorts have huge mountains: both Revelstoke and Kicking Horse used to be the preserve of heli-skiers which gives an idea of the scale of the terrain. A car is not necessary for this holiday as transfers are provided. Costs start at £1617 per person which will include flights into Kelowna and home from Calgary, all transfers and 12 nights' accommodation.
