(Hong Kong, 20 June 2017) – Guerlain introduces its latest addition of the Abeille Royale Collection by teaming up with The Langham, Hong Kong hotel and presenting an exclusive Honey Afternoon Tea.

The Abeille Royale collection has been at the forefront of cutting edge technology and undertakes two new self-repairing bee powered products – the Youth Watery Oil and Black Bee Honey Balm. Incorporating ingredients from a region in France called Ouessant where Black Bees inhabit the island, the formula consists of its exclusive honey and Royal Jelly that promises to self-repair and reconstruct the skin while promoting healing at every key level.

In line with this new product partnership, Executive Pastry Chef Matthieu Godard pioneers the extraordinary properties of honey into The Langham afternoon tea. His confectionary creations pay homage to honey produced from an organic bee farm in Hong Kong to bring forth local natural flavours of longan, lychee and the ivy fruit.

The exclusive afternoon tea set will embody sweet styles of the Hong Kong honey such as The Bee – a golden macaron filled with dark chocolate and honey nectar. Another featured confection is the Chocolate – a mini tartlet made with salty caramel, honey ganache and milk chocolate; and the Honeycomb is a delicious highlight as well – Earl Grey crémeux, honey and orange jelly, topped with chunks of homemade honeycomb and  sprinkles of gold dusted white chocolate pearls.

Additional buzz-worthy delicacies include the Mango – a mango and honey mousse dome filled with a raspberry jam centre, and crowned with a decorated bee almond cookie; and the classic French Mille-feuille is also noteworthy – honey cream infused with vanilla and yuzu.

Savoury complements include a Lavender-infused Honey Glazed Duck Breast, Cucumber and Cheddar Cheese Sandwich and a Norwegian Smoked Salmon Dome Stuffed with Crab Salad on Corn Bread.

Providing a comprehensive experience, The Langham Honey Afternoon Tea will be served on a specially made honeycomb stand for visual aesthetics.

Celebrating this collaboration, afternoon tea guests during this period will receive an exclusive Guerlain Abeille Royale gift set that consists of:

The Palm Court lobby lounge serves afternoon tea on weekdays from 3:00 – 5:30 p.m., and on weekends and public holidays in two sittings, from 2:15 – 4:15 p.m., and 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
