Raffles

Raffles is an oasis for the well-travelled, offering emotional luxury. Its brand essence is charming and graceful, thoughtful and welcoming. Raffles boasts an illustrious history dating back to 1887 when the first Raffles hotel opened its doors in Singapore. Today the Raffles collection includes 11 distinguished addresses around the world.

Raffles Singapore celebrates 130 years

The anniversary festivities continue at Raffles Hotels & Resorts as it celebrates its 130th anniversary in 2017. Since 1887, when the doors to the first hotel in Singapore opened, the luxurious five-star property has become an internationally-recognized icon that epitomizes the romance of the Far East – a seductive blend of luxury and history. Special packages, upgrades and tours are part of the celebratory fun at Raffles Singapore. The Raffles Walk of Fame follows in the footsteps of numerous luminaries who have visited the hotel, such as Elizabeth Taylor, Somerset Maugham, Charlie Chaplin, Karl Lagerfeld and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The second phase of the hotel's renovations will begin mid-year, when restoration will commence on the main hotel building, lobby and some hotel suites. The property will then close near the end of 2017 for final touches with a grand reopening of this National Monument of Singapore planned for the second quarter of 2018.

Raffles to open in Warsaw

Raffles Europejski Warsaw is set to open late 2017, bringing a new luxury hotel to this fast-changing city, and heralding a new chapter for one of the Warsaw's most beloved buildings. Hotel Europejski originally opened in 1857, immediately becoming one of the most luxurious hotels in the Russian Empire. During WWII, however, it was almost completely destroyed. The current hotel was rebuilt in stages throughout the 1950s, eventually reopening in 1962. Located in the historic district of Warsaw, next to the Presidential Palace, this is a significant restoration of a landmark building. Throughout the restoration the building's heritage has been carefully preserved and respected. Interiors have been entrusted to the acclaimed Boris Kudlicka, whose notable projects include the Cultural Centre of Warsaw. The hotel will offer its guests 130 elegant rooms and suites; a restaurant with an outdoor terrace and seasonal menus showcasing Poland's rich produce and cuisine; a cigar lounge and bar; a patisserie that will evoke the hotel's fascinating story; and an indulgent spa.

Pullman hotels are famed for their contemporary edge, strong connection to the local culture and commitment to the worlds of design, art and photography.
