New basq mama-to-be treatments and babymoon spa break at Weavers' House Spa at the Swan at Lavenham, Suffolk

First in England to offer new pre-natal product range from NYC

Weavers' House Spa at the Swan at Lavenham Hotel, Suffolk is the first in England to offer mama-to-be treatments using the new, safe and highly acclaimed basq pre-natal products from New York. The five sumptuous 'My Bump and I' pregnancy massage treatments are dedicated to all those in need of some comforting TLC. They offer specialist care for you and your bump, hopefully leaving you stretch mark free.

Throughout pregnancy, it's important to hydrate and moisturise the skin to ensure it grows naturally with your bump and doesn't stretch.  Not everyone will experience stretch marks, which may be caused by less collagen in the skin at this time.

The basq NYC range uses rich oils, vitamins and minerals to nourish and encourage cell regeneration, while reinforcing its strength, tone and elasticity to help prevent and repair the damage of stretching skin.  Oils and scents are chosen that are safe and soothing during pregnancy and all ingredients are clinically tested and are irritant and allergen free.

Pregnancy massage pressure is soft to medium and you will most likely be lying on your side.  It's not a deep tissue massage, more relaxing with less pressure on the lower back, feet and ankles due to the complexity of nerve endings.  Some therapists will even massage your baby bump, when your little one might  wriggle and kick a little as the healing touch is powerful.

Five treatments

For a complete head to toe spa experience the 'basq TLC for Mum to Be' treatment focuses on the head, bump and lower legs. It begins with a relaxing head, neck and shoulder massage to release tension before moving to the bump where gentle dry brushing and exfoliation removes dull dead cells, improves circulation and tone and elasticity of the skin. Next is an application of basq Resilient Body Oil and basq Mega Moisture Butter to help prevent stretchmarks finishing with a lower leg massage.  Ninety minutes of soothing bliss for just £110.

The 'basq in the Moment Massage' is a full body massage using safe pre-natal techniques to relax, reduce fatigue and ease other discomforts associated with pregnancy, while the 'basq Skin Boosting Body Exfoliation' aids dry, itchy and stretched skin by discarding damaged cells and fuelling renewal. It also includes an application of basq Mega Moisture Butter to nourish the skin with a blend of powerful omega oils. Both are priced at £100 for 75 minutes.

For mums-to-be with less time at 45 minutes the 'basq Baby Bump Treatment' (£55) reinforces the skin with deep hydration that targets scars and marks, while also helping the tone and elasticity of the bump area. Swelling, heaviness and discomfort in the lower legs and feet, often associated with pregnancy, can be relieved with the 'basq Remedy for Tired Legs'. This 30-mintue treatment includes exfoliation massage to improve circulation and, while the legs are wrapped in a cocoon of luxurious salts and oils, the therapist will perform a relaxing scalp massage. All for just £48.
