Christmas at Blenheim, 2017
Festive Illumination for England's Finest View
Following a successful first year Christmas at Blenheim returns; transforming the Formal Gardens and 'Capability' Brown Parkland into a winter wonderland the magical Christmas trail will open from 24 November, 2017 – 1 January, 2018.
The new 2017 trail will showcase the landscape from a different point of view. Discover the picture-perfect Oxfordshire parkland illuminated for an unforgettable after dark Christmas trail along winding paths, beside tranquil waters and through extraordinary historic parkland. With new installations and a bigger and better trail this is a must-visit event for the festive season.
Greeted by the sights and sounds of Christmas, visitors will wander beneath unique tree canopies drenched in seasonal colour dripping with shards of light, larger-than-life snowflakes and baubles.
Follow the path down towards Santa's Christmas Workshop, through a twinkling tunnel and between the fibre optic waterfall that flows gently into the Great Lake where hundreds of brightly coloured boats ebb and flow.
In the distance, flaming plumes flicker as a mesmerising Cascade of Fire springs to life in time to much-loved Christmas classics. As visitors walk back towards the Palace, they will wander among Singing Trees rising high into the night sky and onto Mistletoe Moment festooned by a canopy of over 100,000 pea-lights.
The trail is specially designed to appeal for visitors of all ages to enjoy. The Great Outdoors made magical.
