From olive groves to vineyards, citrus fruit and artichokes, the fertile slopes of northern Sicily are bursting with delicious fruit and vegetables.

This summer, Massimo Villas is teaming up with the very best local, organic fruit and vegetable suppliers to offer villa guests in the Cefalu area a new, quick and easy way to access good quality produce from farms in the area.

All guests will receive an arrival basket with samples of seasonal, organic produce at their villa. They can then choose to order more of what they like for delivery during their stay. Guests can even take part in harvesting the fruit and vegetables then cooking them in their villa under the guidance of one of Massimo's organic food experts.

The Massimo Villa Collection is based in London and Cefalu, north Sicily and many of the villas managed by Massimo's team are located in the surrounding hills where the organic fruit and vegetables are grown. Villa guests can easily access walking trails across the hills of the Madonie National Park or head down to the coast for the beach and medieval historic centre of Cefalu with its cathedral, restaurants and local shops.  Villa Respiro and Villa la Vista are two such villas:

Villa Respiro is set in a pretty garden with twisted olive trees, a private pool and dramatic sea views. Sleeping up to 8 people, Villa Respiro is made up of an attractive stone villa and two wooden clad annexes.  The style of the whole property feels modern yet relaxed, with its whitewashed wooden beams and neutral shades which provide the perfect backdrop for simple, contemporary furnishings, just right for laid back holidays in the sunshine. Designed for summer living, an outside kitchen and large covered terrace with a dining table sets the scene for meals with friends and family. Villa la Vista is a well positioned, modern family villa with a beautiful view of Cefalu from its hillside position, just 3km from the historic centre, restaurants, shops and sandy beach.  The living space is spread across two floors and has been designed to retain the original character of the structure and incorporate modern design.  The living room and kitchen open out onto a series of terraces, each with their own spectacular view.  Sleeping up to 10, there are 5 bedrooms each styled in contemporary greys and whites. Outside is a dining area, barbecue and large outdoor kitchen for summer meals together. The views from Villa la Vista's garden stretch from a quiet sandy beach that seems close enough to touch, across the crystal sea to La Rocca, the rocky crag which sits behind the historic centre of Cefalu.
