Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched a new program to promote Thailand as a family-friendly holiday destination, targeting families in the ASEAN, South Asia and South Pacific regions.
The 'Family Fun' mobile application aims to boost tourism to the kingdom during the 'Green Season.' A mobile application allows families to access hundreds of special offers, discounts and privileges at hotels and resorts, restaurants, attractions and activities.
Plus, as an added incentive to families, the Family Fun program includes a FREE SIM card for families to use to access the offers on the app while in Thailand. The SIM card can be collected at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport on arrival, at TRUE counter near Gate 5 Arrival Hall.
Discounts at participating resorts such as Club Med Phuket are as high as 30 per cent, and attractions including Kidzania, Scenical World, Dinosaur Planet, Frost Magical Ice of Siam and Camel Republic are offering discounts and two-for-one deals on tickets.
Mr. Yuthasak Supasorn, TAT Governor said, “Thailand has a wide variety of tourism resources, attractions, activities and services that fit for all age groups, in fact our country actually is a perfect destination for families. This project has been initiated with the aim to build awareness of Thailand as a family destination and encourage families to visit during the 'Green Season.”
The Family Fun mobile application is available to download now from the App Store or Google play, and will showcase the privileges and promotions available to families across Thailand during the six-month period in an easy to use format. Choose your special offer from four categories including Hotels & Resorts, Restaurants, Health & Beauty, and Activity.
Simply choose your category, browse offers, choose the offer you are interested in and press 'USE' to redeem it. You will then be issued a promotion code to use when booking.
The Family Fun program is available now, and offers are valid until 30 November 2017.
