
Royal Mail Hotel has announcds the commencement of an exciting new development on-site at the property located in Dunkeld at the southern tip of the Grampians National Park.
This major development is designed to cement the Royal Mail Hotel as one of regional Australia's leading food and wine tourism destinations.
Central to the new development is the establishment of a stand-alone fine dining restaurant which will be called Wickens at the Royal Mail Hotel. The new restaurant, led by Executive Chef and namesake, Robin Wickens, will continue to be dedicated to using produce from the Royal Mails own 1.2 hectare kitchen gardens and farms as well as supporting many regional producers.
Other elements of the project include doubling the capacity of the hotels casual comfort food offering, Parker Street Project, and renovated hotel Reception area.
“We are delighted to embark on this major project which will bring more visitors and encourage them to stay longer, which in turn supports other local businesses.” said Mr Mark Whitnell, General Manager. “We are very proud to have '2 hat' status over the past 3 years, and to have introduced some new immersive food and wine experiences, so this new development will take us to the next level.” Mr Whitnell added.
