The Vicarage in Cheshire is offering an exclusive package for guests wanting to combine a canal boat adventure with an overnight stay at the Grade II listed hotel.
The North-West boasts some of the UK's finest waterways including the Trent and Mersey Canal, the Macclesfield, the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal and the Stourbridge Canal.
The Vicarage is situated close to some of the area's biggest boatyards and canal boat providers, including Andersen Boats in Middlewich, which is just 5 miles away. The 17th Century country hotel and pub is perfectly placed for guests wanting to arrive the night before their holiday and relax before embarking on a new adventure, or for those returning after a break on the waterways.
The hotel has 20 custom designed bedrooms and six brand new signature rooms all with comfortable beds and their own en-suite bathroom. These spacious and sumptuous rooms all are individually styled and artfully designed to emphasise the hotel's elegant yet rustic country-inn style decor.
Situated in the most historic part of the building, the signature rooms are sumptuous yet homely, with high ceilings, exposed beams and brickwork, king-sized beds, freestanding roll top baths and large walk in showers; blissful after a week or two on a canal boat.
The signature rooms also come with 3D compatible 42 inch TVs, Nespresso machines, premium Tea from the Manor tea bags and coffee from Cheshire company, Jaunty Goat Coffee.
A food-led destination, headed up by chef, Steven Tuke, formerly of the Chester Grosvenor, The Vicarage offers a delicious seasonal menu using only the best locally sourced ingredients.
The canal holiday package is priced at £165 and includes a three-course dinner up to the value of £25 per person, a bottle of prosecco and a freshly cooked English breakfast the next morning, and is based on two adults sharing a comfy double or twin room. Free upgrades are available, subject to availability.
The Vicarage is easily accessible by car, just one mile from Junction 18 of the M6 motorway or 30 minutes from Manchester Airport. The hotel is located just one mile from Holmes Chapel train station, which has direct links to Crewe, Manchester and Manchester Airport. It is also situated just 5 miles from Andersen Boats, one of Cheshire's biggest boatyards.
