InterContinental Sydney has taken inspiration from two of the grandest traditions – Mother's Day and high tea – to create a series of high tea experiences across the hotel for an unforgettable Mother's Day indulgence this Sunday 14 May.
Combining the culinary talents of Head Pastry Chef, Simon Veauvy, Head Bars Manager, John Toubia, and the ambiance of InterContinental Sydney's heritage beauty, each high tea experience has been designed to offer something unique for mums and families this Mother's Day. You can choose from:
- Champagne High Tea Buffet inside The Cortile
- A Sky-High-Tea inside The Harbour Room on level 30
- High Coffee Affair inside the Glass Gallery
Champagne High Tea Buffet inside The Cortile
The iconic lobby destination presents a specially-curated Mother's Day high tea buffet featuring themed sweets and savouries, including Simon Veauvy's twisted lamington, vanilla crème brulee, traditional shortbread, homemade scones and the signature sandwich collection.
For the first time, guests of The Cortile will have the opportunity to experience the Champagne Dome created by renowned Bars Manager, John Toubia, when upgrading to the 'Endless Champagne' package. The Champagne Dome is an elaborate infusion of local flora smoke and seasonal fresh flower, presented in a glass dome and saucer, topped up throughout the high tea.

A Sky-High-Tea inside The Harbour Room on level 30
Elevate your Mother's Day celebration 30 levels above the Harbour with the Sky-High-Tea Tiered-Stand inside Harbour Room. Renowned as one of the most coveted venues in Sydney, you will experience a high tea afternoon with views sweeping the Opera House, Eastern Harbour and Royal Botanic Gardens.
Designed to stimulate the sights, sounds, tastes and aromas of Sydney Harbour, the high tea is presented on traditional three-tiered stands offering the latest from the seasonal menu, paired with the Ronnefeldt tea library.

High Coffee inside the Glass Gallery
Appeasing the coffee lover in us all, InterContinental Sydney has created a bespoke pop-up high coffee experience inside the InterContinental Sydney Lobby Gallery. A gorgeous display of three-tiered stands will deliver a series of espresso-inspired menus, a selection of hand-made pastries and coffee-infused desserts.
