University of the Arts London (UAL) return to the Pulse tradeshow in May for the 11th year with UAL Now. The featured stand showcases 17 new creative businesses from UAL students and alumni selling inspiring design led gifts and lifestyle products and accessories.

The stand features a diverse range of products including everything from ceramics and homeware to greetings cards and fashion accessories.

UAL Now is a showcasing and exhibition programme that highlights the most exciting emerging talent from University of the Arts London. UAL Now showcases graduates' work at fairs and industry exhibitions across art, design and communication; in order to launch their work, products, ideas, services and companies. It enables and prepares them to connect to curators, buyers, collectors, manufacturers, agencies and specialist audiences, so that they can sell work, network and advance their practice and careers in the creative and cultural sector.

Led by Careers and Employability at UAL and supported by Clarion events, the UAL Now stand is an opportunity for emerging design businesses from UAL to have a discounted and supported route into trade show environments. Exhibitors are offered a full professional development programme in the lead up to the show to prepare them for the experience, as well as PR and marketing support.

“Pulse is the perfect environment for UAL's design talent to launch their businesses and start selling to retailers. UAL Now provides a platform for them to do this in an affordable and supported way, and puts them at the centre of this exciting tradeshow. We make sure the exhibitors are ready for sales and many have gone on to take their own stand at the show after," Vicky Fabbri, Enterprise & Events Manager, Careers and Employability, UAL.

Highlights of UAL Now include London based designer William Branton who specialises in bold geometric soft furnishings, fashion accessories and stationery; Japanese designer MIYU KURIHARA, who uses skills learned in Japan and London to hand paint ceramics for the home; dot.home, a modern interiors brand which creates durable, modular furniture and accessories and hand drawn giftware from Lili Price, who is currently in her second year studying Graphic Designs Communication at UAL Chelsea College of Arts.

Other UAL Now brands include: Alexandra Maria Bissa, Anneka Textiles, BOSKE by Kat, Emily Nash Illustration, House of Cally, Just Kim Prints, Nose to Tail, TerraCotta Row, The Changing Factor, The London Refinery, W11Studio and Walk with Me.
