This Conran-designed hotel is celebrating Christmas in their new high-end winter wonderland with a range of different festive activities. Diamond in the sky Christmas Afternoon Tea

This year, the top two floors of the Gherkin will be transformed into a sparkling Christmas extravaganza, with snowflakes, champagne, decorations and real diamonds. Searcys will be hosting three special afternoon teas, where each guest's glass will be filled not only with champagne, but also with a crystal. The Dorchester's Gingerbread Hotel and Sweet Emporium

This iconic British hotel has been transformed into a gingerbread replica of itself. A creation dreamt up by the hotel's executive chef Henry Brosi, the Gingerbread Hotel measures approximately 180cm in length, 150cm in height, and 95cm in width, weighing in at 150kg and features over 8,000 individual pieces of gingerbread baked by the hotel pastry team. The model of the front of the hotel is almost identical to the frontage of the world-famous building. Children visiting the hotel during December will be swept into a magical experience at the Sweet Emporium by 'Sweets in the City' tucked inside a festive nook in the lobby. Dreaming of a Pink Christmas

This winter, celebrate the spirit of The Cresta Run in St. Moritz. A spectacular winter lights trail, complete with carollers and children's storytelling will provide the ultimate festive experience. The gallery will re-open at 6pm for a site-wide installation from the creators of 'Christmas at Kew'. The grounds and historic building will be transformed with illuminations from a variety of light sources, so visitors can follow a dazzling trail and explore explosions of colour and light in trees and secluded nooks. Christmas Past

Each year, authentic festive decorations, lighting, music and greenery transform the Museum's period living rooms, giving visitors an insight into how Christmas has been celebrated from 1600 to the present day. The exhibition brings to life the origins and meanings of the vibrant traditions of Christmas past, from feasting and dancing to playing parlour games, decorating the tree, hanging up stockings, and sending cards. There will also be a full programme of events including craft fairs, festive evenings, carol singing and decoration workshops. The Little Match Girl

The Red Shoes

A beloved fairy tale and Academy Award-winning movie, The Red Shoes has inspired generations of dancers with its story of obsession, possession and one girl's dream to be the greatest dancer in the world. Victoria Page lives to dance, but her ambitions become a battleground between the two men who inspire her passion. This world premiere production by Sadler's Wells' Associate Artist Matthew Bourne, is set to a score using the mesmerising music of composer Bernard Herrmann, and played live by the New Adventures Orchestra.
