The Rebirth of the Stag: The Stag Company and Hen Heaven Unveil New Identity

The Stag Company
  • Hen Heaven and The Stag Company draw closer ties with new branding
  • Companies unveil new 'Event Planners' to reflect commitment to customer service
  • CEO commits to bigger 'hen house' accommodation collection
  • PARTY principals to drive further growth, in spite of weakened pound

Forget a few drinks on the night before, stag and hen-dos have become big business, with the Maids of Honour and Best Men of the UK set on creating ever more ambitious and legendary final hoorah's for the nation's brides and grooms-to-be.

After more than decade of growth crafting bigger, tailored, stress-free celebrations, The Stag Company and Hen Heaven – part of The Eventa Group, have unveiled sleek new, unified visual identities establishing them as the go-to providers for stag and hen do planning.

The sophisticated new identities featuring complimentary antlers and angel wings are underpinned by a boost to customer services and a new set of 'PARTY' brand values founded on providing choice, simplicity, knowledge and reassurance.

CEO Rob Hill added: “As the UK stag and hen industries get bigger, so do the expectations of groups planning legendary send-offs for their friends. We're staying ahead of demand with new, unified brands built on customer insights which will help power growth for the years to come.

With The Stag Company and Hen Heaven working closer than ever, with a great set of shared principles, customers will have the reassurance they'll get a phenomenal service, great choice and a quality, tailored experience no matter what they're planning.”

Superior Service as Standard

Committed to customer service, the companies have reshaped their front line teams to offer dedicated, experienced 'Event Planners', meaning every Best Man or Maid of Honour has a named & dedicated contact to manage their booking from initial enquiry to their return home.

Hill continued: “The personal service is key for us, which is why we've invested heavily in our people so every customer is now looked after by a single Event Planner who has first-hand experience of many of the trips and experiences we offer - whether your partying in Bournemouth or Budapest.”

Welcome to the Hen House

Rob and his team however are building more than just booking numbers, investing in their own exclusive 'Hen House' accommodation range to better meet the needs of the hen do market. Unveiling its first Hen House in Bournemouth in 2014, they also now run and own properties across Nottingham and Brighton.

“There are some important differences between the Stag and Hen markets. One of the biggest frustrations was the poor availability of quality accommodation for hen parties. We figured if the market wasn't delivering we should create our own properties especially for Hen Heaven customers. The Hen Houses are hugely popular, so now we're developing more properties to keep up with demand.”

The Rise of the Party King

After a stint chaperoning Brighton hen dos by night while working as an accountant by day, entrepreneur Rob Hill saw a gap in the market for professionally managed hen & stag events setting up The Stag Company in 2003 for it to become one of the UK and Europe's largest stag planning companies turning over more than £10million each year.

Hill, who was soon dubbed 'The Party King' helped over 1,000 stag parties in his first year of business, he acquired Hen-Do company Hen Heaven in 2007. Developing a reputation as a shrewd operator, in 2009 Rob created The Eventa Group serving the corporate market, with The Stag Company evolving to trade under The Eventa Group name in 2012.

ABTA recognised and twice named in the Virgin Fast Track 100 as one of the UK's fastest growing businesses. The Eventa Group employs 70 people in its Brighton home, helping over 70,000 create memorable, tailored stag dos in the in the UK and abroad.

Undeterred by the recent decline in the pound, Rob Hill added: “Brexit and Sterling volatility isn't having an impact as trading has remained strong over the summer – just as it has for well over a decade. Whether it's a trip to Europe or an adventure on UK soil, demand is showing no sign of abating and we're very excited to begin our next chapter of growth.”
