In celebration of Mid-Autumn Festival on September 15th, InterContinental Hong Kong's 2-Michelin star Yan Toh Heen is preparing a selection of homemade moon cakes and gift hampers – all presented in stunning new suede gift boxes created by Hong Kong designer Millicent Lai, who was formerly Chief Homeware Designer of Shanghai Tang.
Executive Chef Lau Yiu Fai is also sharing his recipes at a special Moon Cake Making Class on Saturday, September 10th. Under the expert guidance of Executive Chef Lau Yiu Fai, learn to make Custard Cream and Gold Dust moon cakes using a tailor-made (pre-ordered) mould with your choice of inscription (be it your name or a special greeting) of up to 2 Chinese characters.
