Visitors are flocking to Corsica by ferry this summer.  Direct Ferries, the online ferry comparison site has revealed that the French island of Corsica is its number one island destination this year with bookings up by 163% over the first six months of 2016.

Known for its beautiful coastline, more than two hundred beaches and crystal clear waters, Corsica is a nature-lovers paradise. Visitors can go scuba-diving in coral reefs, jet-skiing and fun boarding, yachting and canoeing on the coast. Inland, lush forest, mountains and streams covers much of the island and make the ideal terrain for hiking, horse riding and mountain biking or the more adventurous can enjoy rafting and canyoning.

Families will love the compact size of the island and the great choice of child-friendly accommodation whilst foodies will delight in the stunning local produce, the abundance of fresh fish and seafood and bustling atmospheric markets.

This beautiful Mediterranean island is easy to get to by ferry from France or Italy with a huge selection of ferry routes to choose from and ports in each corner of the island. Direct Ferries feature six ferry companies that offer a combined 21 ferry routes to Corsica from France and Italy.
