The holiday starts in Ipanema in Rio's sought-after Zona Sul and the super trendy Fasano hotel. Impeccably designed by Philippe Starck with an incredible attention to detail the Fasano is the place to be seen in Rio and a favourite of young celebrities. The design harks back to the bossa era of the '50s and '60s and this, along with excellent service ensures that it is Rio's hot property.
Guests can enjoy three nights at this hotel while exploring all that Rio has to offer. The holiday includes tours to Corcovado and Sugar Loaf Mountain, two of Rio's most iconic sights. Ipanema is the perfect location for wandering along the beachfront people watching or lounging in the hotel's rooftop pool with a caipirinha.
The second half of the holiday sees guests travel by private transfer for about an hour to the beachside neighbourhood of Barra da Tijuca and the brand new Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro where they will spend three nights.
The Grand Hyatt Rio de Janeiro is one of the newest 5-star luxury hotels to the Marvellous City and perfectly located on Barra da Tijuca beach. Although the hotel is away from the Zona Sul and the city's main attractions it makes for an ideal beach hotel and is only an hour from the international airport. Modern and luxurious, the Grand Hyatt is all clean lines and fresh styling with beautiful views out to sea or the Marapendi Lagoon behind.
Barra, as it is known to the locals is a glamourous and picturesque neighbourhood. It has garnered much attention recently as the home to the Olympic park and is known for excellent shopping and dining. It also boasts one of Rio's most pristine beaches and the white sand leads out to brilliant blue waters. Surfing, paddle boarding and swimming are popular along this stretch of coast and the beach is the perfect place to relax.
Bespoke Brazil Director, Simon Williams says: “Luxury Rio de Janeiro offers travellers the best of both worlds. They can enjoy the city sights and cool location of Ipanema and the Zona Sul along with a beautiful beach and more relaxed vibe in Barra da Tijuca. Two beach locations, both very different in one Marvellous City.”
