The Red Carnation Hotel Collection is pleased to announce that Travel + Leisure readers voted five of their luxurious properties in the publication's coveted 2016 World's Best Awards. Two of Red Carnation's flagship five-star properties – '41' in London and Ireland's Ashford Castle – were voted No. 1 in a total of three different categories, while The Milestone Hotel, The Egerton House Hotel, and The Chesterfield Mayfair brought home an additional seven placements combined.
"I am immensely proud of all the Red Carnation Hotels recognized among the "World's Best by Travel + Leisure readers in 2016," said Jonathan Raggett, managing director of Red Carnation Hotels. "Many of our hotels, especially No. 1 voted properties '41' and Ashford Castle, continue to set the standards of excellence and luxury in the areas in which we operate. A big thank you and well-done to the teams at all our properties who go above and beyond for our guests every single day."
The Travel + Leisure "World's Best Awards" recognize the world's top destinations, hotels, resorts, spas, cruise lines and more. Hotel '41' was honored as the top placement in two separate categories, the No. 1 "Best Hotel in London" and No. 1 "Best City Hotel in Europe," while sister five-star property The Milestone Hotel in London was listed No. 2 in the same categories. The Egerton House Hotel placed No. 5 and No. 8, respectively, and The Chesterfield Mayfair was named No. 6 "Best Hotel in London," highlighting Red Carnation's prominence within the highly competitive London set. Hotel '41' was also awarded No. 43 in "The 100 Best Hotels in the World" category, The Milestone Hotel took No. 68, and The Egerton House Hotel placed No. 89.
Meanwhile, Ashford Castle was voted the No. 1 "Best Resort Hotels in the United Kingdom and Ireland," a brand new category for 2016, as well as No. 6 in "The Best Resort Hotels in Europe" and No. 47 "The 100 Best Hotels in the World." Ashford Castle is the latest addition to the prestigious Red Carnation portfolio and has completed an extensive three-year restoration and enhancement program to make it one of the world's leading resort hotels.
