LOS ANGELES—June 15, 2016—Nothing says “Hollywood success” like Starline Tours adding a star's home to the route of their Movie Stars' Homes Tour.   That was the thinking from the creators of the new television series “Lopez”.   The TVLand series, starring George Lopez as himself, turned to Starline Tours to depict how Lopez struggles to balance being a famous comedian in the real world and the social media cyberworld.  The show's writer, Chip Pope plays the role of a Starline tour guide in some of the episodes airing Wednesday nights. While the real Starline Tour uses personal headsets for passengers so as not to broadcast in neighborhoods, Pope's guide character, openly interacts with passengers, Lopez and his nosy neighbor, Stephen, played by James Connor. Pope's costume, an actual uniform from Starline Tours, and the trademark open-air van seen on the streets of Hollywood, complete the authenticity.

When the Jimmy Kimmel show wanted to make a colossal announcement recently, producers looked no further than Starline Tours, their across-the-street neighbor.  Starline operates the CitySightseeing Hop-On Hop-Off 100-mile tour route through the LA area.  A double-decker bus was the perfect way for Kimmel to announce he is running for Vice President of the United States.
