EXPLORE MANDURAH ON A SEGWAY

The new way to see Mandurah is on an eco-friendly Personal Transportation Vehicle, the Ninebot. CREERY WETLANDS

The 29 hectare Creery Wetlands Nature Reserve is an important feeding and roosting area for waterbirds and shorebirds which migrate to the Mandurah area every year from Northern Asia and Alaska. Over 130 different species of native and migratory birds nest, breed and feed on the estuary. A paradise for birdwatchers and nature lovers.

Follow the easy three kilometre loop walk that takes you through the Creery Wetlands. Whether you are interested in birds, wildlife in general, or just enjoy a stroll by the estuary, Mandurah's wetland areas are a fascinating and enjoyable environment to explore.

WATCH THE DOLPHINS

FLYING HIGH

If you'd like to get the bird's eye view yourself, take a scenic flight with Royal Aero Club of WA. Located 15 minutes from the heart of Mandurah, Murrayfield Airport boasts a recreational flying atmosphere and guarantees top views along the region's magnificent coastline.

GET HANDS ON AT PEEL ZOO

Hold a python, pet kangaroos, tickle a ferret or feed the parrots. Fun guaranteed not only for the little ones. Peel Zoo in Pinjarra, which was listed on "Western Australia's 100 Things to do before you die" by Experience Oz, also has one of the world's most successful Tasmanian devil breeding program!

THROMBOLITES

About 30 kilometres south of Mandurah you'll find Lake Clifton in the Yalgorup National Park. Turn West off Old Coast Road onto either Clifton Downs Road or Mount John Road to get to the largest living thrombolite reef in the Southern Hemisphere - living fossils that have sheltered in these waters for millennia.
One of the by-products of their life cycle is oxygen and over millions of years they created an atmosphere which enabled higher life forms to develop. So this natural jewel actually offers a glimpse into what life was like 600 million years ago! Some things just get better with age.

ENJOY A TREETOP ECO-ADVENTURE IN DWELLINGUP

Located 45 kilometres from Mandurah at Lane Poole Reserve in Dwellingup, Trees Adventure is not only the newest attraction in the Peel Region, but also the closest tree top experience from Perth.
The treetop adventure park is popular with visitors and residents alike. TRAVEL BACK IN TIME ONBOARD HOTHAM VALLEY RAILWAY

Experience the freedom of rail travel in the style of years gone by. At Dwellingup Station board the Etmilyn Diner Train and enjoy a five-course meal in the 1919 dining car or 1884 club car for an experience like no other. OFF-ROAD MOUNTAIN BIKING

Langford Park, near Jarrahdale, is a popular mountain biking destination for beginners and advanced riders alike due to the gradual hills and fast, flowing single track. It has a whole host of trails in the area with a longer 17km outside loop. Just pick a path and go!
Or check out the Munda Biddi Trail - over 1,000 kilometres of cycling heaven. As well as passing through magnificent Lane Poole Reserve with its swimming, camping and canoeing opportunities, the trail also takes cyclists through the historic timber towns of Jarrahdale and Dwellingup in the Peel Region.

EXPERIENCE THE THRILL!

Action, water, speed, endless fun – that's what you get when you go white water rafting in the rapids of the Murray River in Dwellingup. White water rafting is available during the winter months usually June to October. Book with the local operator “Dwellingup Adventures”.

FOREST HERITAGE CENTRE

Only a short walk further down the road from the Dwellingup History and Information Centre, you'll find the Forest Heritage Centre. Linking art to heritage and the forest, this is where you can admire the beautiful artwork in the gallery as well as learning more about the environment.
Take a guided or a self-guided tour, and explore the interpretive centre and walking trails while finding out more about wildflowers, animals and resources of the forest.
