Design Hotels launches new Palma property - NAKAR Hotel
Scheduled to open in June 2016, NAKAR Hotel is a new 57-room property offering a harmonious blend of Mediterranean cool and cosmopolitan verve in the heart of Palma. The brainchild of Toni Ramis who commissioned a team of local architects and designers to create his vision of an authentic, yet innovative Balearic guesthouse, NAKAR Hotel is a bold new lifestyle property that blends sophisticated design with local flavour.

Two new openings planned for IT MALLORCA UNIQUE SPACES
Palma based hotel company, IT Mallorca Unique Spaces, is opening two new properties in the centre of Palma, adding to its expanding collection of boutique hotels.
Owners of some of Palma's most luxury and boutique properties: Can Cera, Calatrava and Can Alomar, for 2017 IT Mallorca Unique Spaces is scheduled to open new five star property Hotel Sant Jaume in the centre of Palma as well as a four star hotel Sa Guerreria Fabrik in the historical centre of the centre, occupying a former porcelain factory.

Seek out Palma's ensaimadas at new bakery FORNET DE LA SOCA
Visitors to Palma can now seek out the famous Mallorcan ensaimadas (a type of warm coiled pastry) or cocas (a kind of Mallorcan pizza), at new bakery Fornet de la Soca, located on Calle Llotgeta in the heart of Palma's city centre.
The new bakery opened in May 2016 following the success of the first branch, located on the corner of San Jaume with Santa Magdalena.
Focusing on traditional Mallorcan recipes, Fornet de la Soca (meaning “little oven of tricks”) uses only traditional cooking methods and simple raw ingredients, creating the flavours of a bygone era in the Balearics.
