“Best. Trip. Ever.” Iceland according to Bieber!
Discover the World launches Justin Bieber Reykjavik Package
4 May 2016: With four months to go until Justin Bieber's European leg of his 'Purpose' World Tour kicks off in Reykjavik, Discover the World is launching an exclusive 3-night break 7th-10th September 2016, giving fans the opportunity to combine the sell-out concert with a short break to Iceland priced from £690 per person. *
It will be a year on from Justin's first trip to Iceland, where in September 2015 he filmed his 'I'll Show You' video and declared his visit “Best trip ever”. The tour provides an opportunity to spend a couple of days enjoying Reykjavik's museums, design shops and café culture, as well as heading out into the surrounding countryside and exploring the places Justin filmed, before joining Bieber on Friday 9th September at the Korinn Stadium on the outskirts of Greater Reykjavik.
Discover the World has chartered a flight specifically for this trip, leaving London Gatwick at 17.55 on 7th September, returning on the 10th September from Keflavik (near Reykjavik) at 13.05, giving fans three nights in the 'coolest' of capital cities. A vast array of optional excursions can be arranged to Iceland's otherworldly landscapes beyond Reykjavik.
In just a few days, you can enjoy delicious local food, hang out with fellow partygoers in the city's late night bars, take in city culture, visit world-famous waterfalls, geothermal pools, geysers and wild black sand beaches, and top it all off with a world-class pop concert. Experience Bieber live and the Iceland that he fell in love with – take a boat trip on the Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon on the south coast, or follow in Bieber's footsteps at Skógafoss, one of Iceland's highest waterfalls, as well as Eyjafjallajökull, which famously erupted in 2010 and is thought to be the oldest active strato volcano on the island.
If you're after a little more relaxation, head to the Blue Lagoon for warm and steamy mineral bathing. While no trip to the city is complete without tasting Iceland's world famous street food, the Pylsur hot dog.
Day 1
Fly late afternoon from London Gatwick departing to Keflavik airport and transfer to Reykjavik and your hotel of choice. Evening arrival.
Day 2
A whole day to head out of the city for some active sightseeing adventures. You could sign up for an optional Glaciers, Volcanoes & Waterfalls excursion, an 11-hour return trip from Reykjavik to Seljalandsfoss where you can walk behind this magnificent curtain of water, take an easy hike on the ancient ice of Sólheimajökull glacier and walk right up to the 60m high, thundering Skógafoss waterfall. From £139pp, departing daily at 8.30am. If you wish to take a boat trip on Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, sign up for South Coast and Jokulsarlon by Coach, a 14-hour return trip taking in one of the world's most scenic coastal drives. From £150 per adult, from £75 per teen (aged 12-17), children under 11 join for free.
Day 3
A day to explore the buzzing city of Reykjavik, the museums, culture, cafes, bars and shopping. In the evening, board the transfer to Korinn Stadium for the Justin Bieber Concert and after the concert transfer back to Reykjavik.
