And, to help clients to choose the best holiday to suit their individual skills, the operator has introduced a clearly-defined system of grades including holidays which combine leisurely sightseeing with walks or something more challenging like full day walks with cumulative ascents up to 750m.  And, for the first time, all local transport costs in connection with the programme in 2017, and no credit card charges will be included in the holiday price – making them even better value for money.

Igls and Innsbruck, Austria – a 6 day, half-board holiday winter walking in an alpine wonderland combined with city sightseeing in the glorious Tirolean capital.  In addition to Innsbruck, other highlights include the village of Igls at the foot of the Patscherkofel Mountains; visits to the neighbouring villages of Vill, Aldrans, Rinn, Lans, Sitrans and Patsch; walks along the winterwandern weg trails through wintery forests and meadows; the majestic Nordkette Mountains and the ancient Trade Route over the Brenner Pass to the south leading to Italy.

Abruzzo, Italy – a one week, half-board holiday walking with wolves in the spectacular Abruzzo National Park situated in the wild and remote valleys of the Apennine Mountains.  Wolves and bears roam the hills and an experienced local guide can find wolf tracks and signs of bears (which hibernate) in the snow.   Highlights include, snowshoeing through the valleys accompanied by a guide; the glorious geology of the region; a chance to see deer and chamois; the Rifugio Prato Rosso and Val Fondillo – home to the mountain bear.
