Haven Release Brand New 'What's On' Holiday App

Haven are making the Great British holiday a breeze this year with the release of a brand new 'What's On' app for holidaymakers staying on any one of Haven's 36 coastal holiday parks.

The leading UK holiday park operator has released a free mobile app which enhances the holiday experience by giving guests easy access to a wide array of useful information including activity listings, evening entertainment programmes, FAQ's and guides to exploring the local area. Guests can now access an array of information before arriving at a Haven holiday park, helping them make the most of their stay.

Kirsty Allford, Brand & Creative Development Manager at Haven said, 'The launch of this exciting new app means that we can now give our guests real time information specifically about their holiday, as well as allowing people not yet familiar with Haven to explore and discover more about what they can expect from a holiday with us. The feedback so far has been fantastic – unsurprisingly, people like the ease of information straight into their hands. And the fact that this also means that we can now print less paper copies means that we have a much more sustainable and environmentally friendly solution.'

Haven partnered with Bournemouth based app developers, Rarely Impossible, to design and build the app which is now available on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The developers worked closely with teams across Haven's holiday parks to ensure that the app enhanced the guest experience.

Claire Crombie, Client Engagement Director, from Rarely Impossible said, 'It is rare you get to work on a mobile app that has the audience range of all ages.  Our objective was to develop an app to enhance the on-park experience for guests and start to build on their holiday excitement before they even arrive. One thing that was obvious from the start was that no matter which members of staff you speak to the passion for Haven shines through.  Getting on-park played an important role in really understanding what park life is really like and how the app can enhance the experience for guests, owners and staff. Having this level of partnership really was the key to getting the app live on both iOS & Android within 4 months.'
