Halcyon House, Australia's hottest boutique luxury hotel, is thrilled to be welcoming Veuve Clicquot to the Mr & Mrs Smith listed property next Monday 18 April to launch their 'Clicquot Beach House' event.
The aptly located Cabarita beachside property is a perfect location for the 'Clicquot in the Sun' coastal event which will 'takeover' the luxury boutique hotel to create the ultimate place to enjoy the Clicquot life celebrating endless summers and a life full of surprises.
A group of Clicquot lovers from around Australia will come together for a two day adventure with non-stop 'Clicquot in the Sun' action. There is a daily calendar of Clicquot-inspired events and experiences in and around Halcyon House; from yoga on the beach, and surf lessons with custom-built Clicquot surf boards, to badminton, bike riding and a Clicquot moonlight cinema. There will be a Clicquology cocktail session poolside, exploring the latest innovation from the Maison, Clicquot Rich. And maybe best of all, there will be a flute of Veuve Clicquot on the beach at sunset with toes in the sand.
Halcyon House will take on the Clicquot twist by turning stylishly yellow for the occasion, collaborating with Anna Spiro, one of Australia's most acclaimed designers who created the stunning interiors at the boutique hotel, for custom-made design elements and accents.
Veuve Clicquot has also teamed up with Halcyon House head chef Ben Devlin, (Queensland's Chef of the Year 2014, with a fabulous career spanning from Copenhagen's Noma to Brisbane's Esquire) to create a culinary tour-de-force for the two days, culminating in a degustation featuring exciting, new-generation food-and-champagne matches.
Halcyon House opened in May 2015, a 1960s surf motel reborn as a chic boutique hotel, its Mediterranean coastal inspiration translated to a quintessentially Australian surf beach setting. Filled with treasures unearthed from the world over and a restaurant headed by one of the country's most exciting young chefs, Halcyon House is the manifestation of a lifelong fondness for the small coastal town of Cabarita and its surrounds held by two sisters, Siobhan and Elisha Bickle, who have channelled Madame Clicquot's entrepreneurial spirit to bring their dream of a stunning luxury hotel on Cabarita Beach into reality.
