HONG KONG (April 2016) – This May and June, tea lovers will enjoy the soothing and refreshing Cantonese creations infused with a sumptuous selection of Chinese tea at The Chinese Restaurant.
Guests may start the feast with the Head Chef Kwai-kai Lo recommended marinated duck with jasmine tea and superior pickle sauce which comes with a gentle yet distinctive scent. Other aromatic creations infused with floral tea are also not to be missed, such as the crispy fried pork meat balls with honey and chrysanthemum and nourishing double-boiled spare rib soup with chrysanthemum and pu-erh tea – both will certainly tantalise diners' taste buds.
Alternatively, diners may try out the scrumptious stir-fried prawns in green tea and the succulent stir-fried scallops with vegetables seasoned with long jing tea. In addition, Chef Lo has prepared simmered garoupa fillet with lily bulbs and pi lao chun tea, and the all-time local favourite smoked organic French egg with Chinese tea.
The Chinese Restaurant combines a modern art deco design masterfully blended with the essence of a traditional 1920s tea house, serving authentic Cantonese dishes. There are two private rooms for 8 and 12 persons respectively.
