Melbourne's iconic Hotel Windsor continues to impress at the World Travel Awards™ with recent nominations in three categories in 2016: Australasia's Leading Hotel, Australia's Leading Hotel and Australia's Leading Hotel Suite.
Director of The Hotel Windsor, Adi Halim, is thrilled the hotel is included in the 2016 World Travel Awards™ finalists, especially as the hotel prepares for its much anticipated $330 million renovation project, which is expected to be completed in 2019.
“This is the final year the Windsor competes at the WTAs under its current guise before we begin the extensive renovations and restorations. We are delighted to be included again this year, all due to the great team here at the hotel. If you haven't visited us yet, there is no reason to delay.”
“Our plan is to restore the hotel to its original glory as one of the world's great grand hotels, and we have appointed world leading architects Denton Corker Marshall and interior designers David Collins Studios to realise this vision,” said Mr Halim.
In 2015, the World Travel Awards™ awarded The Hotel Windsor's Royal Suite Australia's Leading Hotel Suite after it was voted Australasia's Leading Hotel in 2014. The hotel's WTA wins are recognition of its commitment to excellence, as voted by travel and tourism professionals from across the globe.
