Spring supplement features 23 special Devon and Cornwall cottages

At the top end of the price range is Nirvana (Ref R113), a handsome Georgian house in the picturesque Cornish fishing village of Kingsand, at £1,830 (£204 per person) for a summer High Season week.

Grade II listed Nirvana has splendid out-to-sea views and access straight on to the sandy beach via the slipway opposite. The friendly local pub is within a convenient stroll. Inside, the house is made for big families, with generous kitchen/dining room and living room with cosy woodburner. With four bedrooms over two upper floors, the top floor en suite double offers peace for parents with sea views from the bath.

24 Victoria Road (Ref G108): A Grade II listed Regency townhouse in the interesting River Exe town of Topsham, once Exeter's medieval port, now famous for its antiques and good restaurants. Rambling beautifully over four floors, this lovely home is perfect for reliving nostalgic childhood holiday memories, with a games room and cinema room, living room with open fire and piano, and bedrooms for six. Prices from £351 per week (£59 per person).

The Cottage (Ref L303): A picture-perfect thatched Devon cottage for four in the little South Hams village of Loddiswell, five miles from the sea at Thurlestone. Stylishly decorated in white, it's quirky with a sociable kitchen/dining room and two bedrooms up separate staircases. Outside is a garden with countryside views and storage for surfboards and bikes.
