Stags Are Twice More Likely to Cheat Than Hens, Says Survey

Last Night Of Freedom

A recent survey by stag and hen company Last Night of Freedom has revealed that men are twice as likely to cheat on their partner whilst on a stag do, than women on a hen do. A quarter (24.9 per cent) of men surveyed admitted that someone in their stag party had cheated on their other half whilst celebrating, compared to 11.5 per cent of women who have cheated on a hen do. The risks of cheating can be avoided by expert planning of a weekend full of new experiences and activities, says Last Night of Freedom.

Matt Mavir, managing director of Last Night of Freedom, thinks that the time has come to remove the link between infidelity and stag weekends, and believes using an expert to do the organising offers grooms-to-be and their best men the opportunity to have a reckless weekend of fun with their friends, whilst avoiding doing something they might live to regret.

Matt says: “Whilst the concept behind stag dos as a final send-off from the single life is an incredibly fun part of our culture, stags need to safeguard against the temptations to cheat; It might seem like a laugh at the time, but the feeling of dread you'll have when you wake up in the morning will not be worth it! There are plenty of ways to enjoy the feeling of freedom, without having any regrets, and that's what Last Night of Freedom is all about.”

Having organised over 23,000 stag and hen events over the last sixteen years, Matt believes that his company knows what makes the best, most fun, and relaxing experience for its customers. Matt says: “Being met at the airport by a local guide and having the vetted bars, clubs and activities lined up for the party, makes all the difference and steers the group away from ending up in undesirable situations. A cleverly orchestrated and expertly planned stag do will ensure that the groom-to-be gets the send-off he deserves, everyone can relax and the stags can enjoy a weekend filled with spontaneous fun.

The survey carried out by Last Night of Freedom also revealed that stags were twice as likely to spend over £100 on their parties in 2015 as the hens. The results showed women were also less likely to spend as long celebrating their hen dos as stags, with nearly half partying for one night only, compared to a third of the stags.

“By no means are we suggesting that you tone it down for your stag weekend” continues Matt.  “If anything we encourage the opposite. By allowing us to take control of the organising and responsibility of your stag do, you can get on with the fun stuff. With so much experience under our belt and an in-depth understanding of the best activities and destinations available, I think it's fair to say we know what we're doing. Unfortunately stag and hen dos attract a stigma when it comes to issues such as cheating, and we work hard to make sure fun is had but that the wedding still goes ahead as planned...”
