IN CELEBRATION OF FAIR TRADE FORTNIGHT ADVENTURE SEEKERS CAN NOW DISCOVER EXCITING NEW FAIR TRADE ADVENTURES ON ANOTHERWORLDADVENTURES.COM.
Fair Trade Fortnight runs: 29 February - 13 March 2016.
Be it coffee, chocolate, wine or clothes, fair trade products are ubiquitous on the high street. Although incredibly diverse, what all these products represent is a commitment to paying fair prices for raw materials and supporting the producers and their communities.
Now four Fair Trade Adventures have been created for Latin America to give travellers a rare opportunity to meet the farmers and artisans behind popular fair trade products such as coffee, chocolate and handicrafts, whilst also experiencing some of the countries' most iconic sights and natural wonders.
The personal, affordable and rewarding travel experiences are two weeks each, taking place in Peru, Costa Rica and Colombia between April and September 2016. The tours have been developed in partnership with the Cafédirect Producers' Foundation and local communities.
The maximum group size on all Fair Trade Adventures is 10 passengers and 10% of what of the tour cost goes straight to support the Cafédirect Producers' Foundation.
All tours include accommodation in homestays or locally-run boutique hotels, internal flights and ground transportation, English-speaking guides, and a range of fair trade and other activities and excursions.
Another World Adventures Director Larissa Clark says: “The Fair Trade movement has gone from strength to strength over the years and this is a unique way for people who've long been consumers of the wonderful products to get behind the scenes and meet the makers on a travel adventure. Our background at Another World Adventures before creating the company was in the environmental, social and economic justice movements so this rings close to our hearts and we're proud to be able to offer these inspiring and extraordinary journeys to adventure seekers.”
