Forest Pines Unveils £300,000 Expansion Plan

QHotels

Golfers at Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort are being given an added reason to stay in shape after the resort unveiled major plans to invest £300,000 in upgrading and expanding the site's leisure facilities.

Work on adding two new fitness studios to the luxury golf venue's health club began at the start of this month and the new facilities, which are set to open in January, will give guests and members an increased choice of up to 55 classes a week.

In addition to the health club's expansion, Forest Pines – near Broughton, north Lincolnshire and part of QHotels, the UK's largest golf resort operator – will also be extending its opening times, allowing early risers to enjoy a full workout before heading out on to the fairways.

The resort already offers its members a fully-equipped gym overlooking an 18-metre swimming pool, a sauna, Jacuzzi, a steam room and, with the addition of new classes for all ages and fitness levels, it will deliver even more ways for members and guests to enjoy their fitness.

Phil Lake, leisure and health club manager at Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort, revealed that the addition of the new facilities was due to feedback from members.

He said: “This exciting new development will give our members another quality aspect to the club that already has 1,500 members. Our classes are extremely popular amongst members, so we expanded our leisure facilities to be able to offer even more.

“We have never had anywhere to hold exercise classes. We did a survey with members who said they would like exercise classes to be offered at Forest Pines.

“These two new studios will transform the club by allowing us to deliver popular classes, which suit all ages and fitness levels.”

Forest Pines already boasts an 18-hole championship golf course, 188 bedrooms, a health club and spa, state-of-the-art conference and events centre and three restaurants.

The resort is part of the multi-award-winning, four and five-star QHotels – the AA Hotel Group of the Year – which offers championship-standard courses in 11 unique resort locations across England and Scotland.
Selected by The R&A for host venue for the 2013 Boys Home Internationals, Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort offers 27 superb holes of golf, which meander through majestic pines in three loops of nine – and it is as challenging as it is beautiful. Located a short distance from junction four of the M180 and nestled in 190 acres of beautiful woodland, its position makes it an ideal club for golfers in north Lincolnshire and Humberside.
