Digital Detox at Aleenta Hua Hin 04 Sep 2015
Switch Off and Experience a 'Digital Detox' at Aleenta Hua Hin

Aleenta Hua Hin Resort & Spa

Enjoy a welcome escape from today's 'always on' lifestyle with a 'Digital Detox' at Aleenta Hua Hin Pranburi, from AKARYN Hotel Group. Pleasantly isolated from the seemingly ubiquitous digital world, guests can both literally and figuratively unplug and switch off in this slice of paradise.

Only 2.5 hours south of bustling Bangkok, Aleenta Hua Hin, Pranburi is seemingly in another world. Featuring just 23 unique residences, many with private pools, guests enjoy unending views of the Gulf of Thailand. Designed as a retreat to relax the mind, guests are cocooned from the stresses of the outside world, while given the freedom to explore their stunning surroundings.

Arriving at check-in, guests are encouraged to surrender their mobile devices and computers at reception. With the resort free from televisions and internet access, guests instead have the chance to stop and simply appreciate the beauty around them - perhaps stroll along the private golden beach, explore the lush surrounding mountains, doze in the cool shade of a day bed, or in the evening, gaze up at endless starry skies to the only sound: waves crashing on the sand.

Guests can also lose themselves in a daily library of short stories delivered to their door, or have their favourite music downloaded onto the in-room music system.

Recognising that a complete detox involves the body as well as mind, guests will undertake a wellness assessment and be provided with a tailored wellness package for their stay. From signature body balancing therapies and healing massages, to exclusive Linda Meredith facial treatments, each is designed to have proven results. Guests can also benefit from the hotel's fundamental approach to sustainable living by joining the Chef on a local farm tour by bicycle, picking their own ingredients for a hand's on SLOW food cooking class and their personal dinner that evening, served on the beach.

Anchalika Kijkanakorn, founder and director of AKARYN Hotel Group said: “As a busy businesswoman, I know only too well how easy it is to be caught up in the hectic lifestyle we lead today, always connected and therefore always 'on'. As a place I spent many hours of my childhood, I have fond memories of being able to relax and simply enjoy the beauty of Pranburi without outside distraction. It is this feeling of escape that I wanted to be able to help our guests capture for themselves and genuinely relax and unwind, leaving feeling renewed and refreshed."

The three night Digital Detox program at Aleenta Hua-Hin is available from THB 37,500 NETT / approx. AUD 1490* (including service charge and VAT). This includes round transfers to Bangkok, in-car picnic, daily gourmet breakfast, eco-friendly farm tour, a low carbon farm cooking class, an in-room supper, beach dinner, a Thai massage and daily newspaper.

Guests who successfully go gadget-free will be entitled to a 10 per cent discount upon departure.
