Residents of Woodhouse Park on the outskirts of Nottingham have spoken of how the new Barratt Homes development is becoming a community, which has just welcomed its first newborn.
Darcey Blacksmith, born to Howard and Claire Blacksmith, is the first baby to be brought home to the popular development on Woodhouse Way. Other families are also settling in there, including Elaine Harrison, her husband Ian and their children Courtney and Jordan.
Howard and Claire moved into their four bedroom Rochester house type at the end of June, and baby Darcey arrived just a few days later in early July.
“We had great service before, during and after the move,” said Howard Blacksmith, a 26-year-old Communications Manager from Hampshire, “the sales staff and even the construction workers on the site couldn't have been more helpful.
“The location is ideal for commuting as it's just a couple of minutes from Junction 26 of the M1, and living in a new home has given Claire and I the opportunity to have it just the way we wanted, in terms of decor, without any hassle.”
The Harrison family were also one of the first to move in to Woodhouse Park, and also chose it for its great transport links.
“We've got great schools nearby and the M1 is so handy,” explained Elaine Harrison, 48, a local government officer from Sherwood, “and we like being in a brand new home because it gives us a blank canvas the whole family can put its personality onto.”
The Harrisons used Barratt Homes' Part Exchange scheme to move into their four bedroom Alnwick house type. “Part Exchange reduced the pressure from our perspective,” continued Elaine, “as it was quick, easy and there was no chain.”
Barratt Homes' Part Exchange scheme sees the homebuilder purchase a buyer's current property at fair market value, taking away any uncertainty and unnecessary delays during the buying process.
Jan Ruston, Sales Director at Barratt Homes North Midlands, said: “Woodhouse Park is one of our most popular Nottinghamshire developments and is gradually becoming a close community, thanks to friendly families such as the Harrisons and the Blacksmiths.
“We're delighted that they are all settling into their new homes and it's wonderful to welcome baby Darcey as the first newborn to this flourishing community.”
Located on the outskirts of Nottingham, Woodhouse Park is a beautiful development featuring a broad range of uniquely designed two, three, four and six bedroom homes.
The development boasts a prime location just 15 minutes from the city centre and five minutes away from junction 26 of the M1, making it an excellent choice for commuters.
There are also plenty of amenities nearby including a Sainsburys's Local, Barclays Bank, pubs and restaurants, as well as Giltbrook Retail Park for all those shopping needs and picturesque Wollaton Park for a breath of fresh air.
The sales centre and show homes are open between 12.30pm and 5.30pm on Monday and 10am until 5.30pm Tuesday to Sunday. For more information about Woodhouse Park please call 0844 811 3377 or visit www.barratthomes.co.uk
