British bookings heat up for cottages4you
- Summer bookings through cottages4you up by almost 18 per cent year on year
- Top UK summer holiday destinations for 2015 revealed

Leading holiday cottage company cottages4you reports that, like the temperatures in the UK, the booking figures for peak summer holidays are soaring with a 18 per cent rise in British breaks over the same period last year.

The figures highlight an ever growing appetite for holidaying within the UK by both families and friends looking for a short break, week or two-week getaway. Due to increased demand, this year the self-catering specialist has added over 2,000 new properties, increasing its portfolio to over 14,500 properties across England, Scotland and Wales.

cottages4you has also revealed that Monmouthshire, Wales has shown the biggest increase in popularity for summer with properties in coastal areas also proving popular this year.

The top five UK destinations that have seen an uplift for summer 2015 are:
1. Monmouthshire
2. Cheshire
3. Pembrokeshire
4. Isle of Skye
5. Lincolnshire
(based on cottages4you bookings this year, compared to 2014 bookings)

Nick Rudge, cottages4you managing director said: “We are thrilled to be helping so many more families and friends holiday in the UK this summer and of course help cottage owners in securing bookings for their properties.

“Wales is topping the list as the most popular destination, however bookings have increased across the length and breadth of Britain showing a real desire to explore every corner of what our varied Isles has to offer.”

Although cottages4you is experiencing a huge demand during the peak summer holidays, with more than 14,500 properties to choose from across the UK, there is still availability for those who haven't yet arranged their escape for the whole family, including their pets:
