Continuing the legacy of The Market's popular durian desserts, Hotel ICON has fashioned yet another delight. Executive Pastry Chef, Danny Ho, creatively combined the sensation of durian with the gratification of fresh French diary produce to form this special durian ice-cream mooncake.
The key to the mooncake's magic lies in Chef Danny's meticulous selection of ingredients. 100% handmade, the durian ice-cream mooncake is a mosaic of three types of quality durians. These are fruity Musang King, dense D24, and sweet D101 directly shipped from Malaysia. The ice-cream itself is composed of 80% pure durian fruit.
As well, ingredients such as fresh vanilla seed, cream, butter and cream cheese from France are used to accentuate the smoothness of durian in the cake. Together with the sweetness of Swiss chocolate, this impeccable durian ice-cream mooncake is a unique royalty treat for the palate.
