La Manga Club is recognised globally as one of the top destinations for football clubs seeking a warm-weather training break and Spain's flagship resort is more popular than ever after taking record bookings for pre-season as clubs around the world prepare for the new 2015-16 campaign.
The luxury venue in Murcia, south-east Spain, has hosted the likes of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Celtic and Shakhtar Donetsk in recent years and teams from Europe, Africa and Asia will all use its outstanding football facilities in the coming weeks to put the finishing touches to their pre-season preparations.
Scottish Championship sides Hibernian and Queen of the South will be among the clubs to visit La Manga Club early next month to put their first-team squads through their paces, and joining them at the resort will be League One side Wigan, who will also play a friendly against Hibs on July 10.
AFC Wimbledon will spend six days fine-tuning their plans for the new League Two season a week later alongside the likes of Spanish La Liga side Granada while Moroccan club Mas and the Oman national squad are included in the list of teams who will visit the resort in August.
With extensive facilities including eight international standard grass pitches, La Manga Club's global reputation as a first-choice destination for a football training break is well deserved and, in the past year alone, the resort has played host to more than 150 professional teams and around 500 scouts through a range of training breaks, pre-season tournaments and friendly matches.
As well as its football training amenities, the resort boasts a fully-equipped gym and indoor swimming pool, ideal for recovery sessions; a host of rooms and spaces to cater for tactical meetings, private team dining and a new High Performance Sports Centre, where players can use the most advanced technology possible to study all aspects of their health and training programmes.
Set in 1,400 acres, La Manga Club boasts unrivalled facilities as a sports and leisure destination including three 18-hole championship golf courses, a 28-court tennis centre and a 2,000sqm spa and fitness centre.
