Holkham Country Fair Returns to North Norfolk With Spectacular Line Up

Holkham Country Fair

North Norfolk's much loved Holkham Country Fair returns for another year with an exciting line up of entertainment including Gulliver's Carnival's breath-taking riding stunts and an RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flypast.

Held in the beautiful grounds of Holkham Estate, the two day event has over 200 trade, fine food and craft stands showcasing rural crafts and country pursuits.

The Grand Ring is set to draw in the crowds with Gulliver's Carnival professional team of stunt riders showing off their dare-devil Victorian stunts on Spanish horses. Back by popular demand is a military band - The Royal Anglian Regimental Band, the Hound Parade plus the Dog and Duck Show - herding unruly ducks!

Holkham Country Fair is also extremely honoured to have an RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flypast by a Douglas C47 Dakota on the Sunday, as a tribute to the significant role the plane played in World War 2.

With plenty of activities blending countryside traditions and family fun, there is something for everyone, including:

  • Trying your hand at British country pursuits including clay pigeon shooting, fishing and target golf
  • Enjoying traditional fairground rides and classic side stalls - straight from the set of ITV's Downton Abbey
  • Watching the fast-paced British Scurry driving trials and the spectacular Freefall Parachute Display Team

This year's Fine Food Village, sponsored by Norfolk's award winning brewery Woodforde's, promises to tantalise the taste buds with delicious locally sourced food and drink including East Coast Chilli Company, Perfick Pork, Bon Bakery, J E Howard (butchers) and Norfolk Brewhouse.

Plus, for the first time ever, visitors can make the most of the weekend and camp in their tent or caravan, exploring the fair during the day and enjoying a local band in the evening.

Sarah Green, co-organiser of the Holkham Country Fair expects this year's event to draw in it's largest attendance, adding:

“As ever the Country Fair offers a huge amount to see and do for all ages, and we look forward to two full days of enjoyment and interest for all.

Held at the beginning of the holidays, and free for children under 14 years of age, Holkham Country Fair is the perfect way to start summer and celebrate our fantastic countryside. Visitors can try something new including clay pigeon shooting, archery or gundog training and for the very first time, make the most of the weekend and camp in the park at Holkham.”
