InfoShare is the largest in Central and Eastern Europe festival of new technologies and media. At its 9th edition in June 2015 the event attracted more than 4,000 participants from all over the world. Attendees arrived to learn about the latest technologies, gain experience and contacts.

During and right before the conference 150 companies from 19 countries took part in the InfoShare Startup Contest. International team of 30 juries judged all projects. The winner was announced at the last day of the conference: RoomAuction.com – a British company with its offices in Gdańsk, Poland, left all its competitors far behind. Apart of becoming a leader and winning the main prize of the contest, RoomAuction.com got the title of the best project as a result of audience voting.

RoomAuction.com is an online booking platform with over 55,000 hotels from 170 countries registered.

What makes RoomAuction.com different from other online booking websites? - „Now you can haggle over the hotel room price” - says Boleslaw Drapella, CEO and founder of the company – “The customer sees the regular price and proposes how much he is willing to pay. Hotelier accepts or rejects. This way you can maximize the hotels occupancy and give great deals on rooms, which could have been otherwise left unsold. There is no risk of the loss. As for customers, they can easily reduce the price of the chosen hotel room. Both sides stay happy”. 15.000 customers have already used the bidding system, and the total value of booking exceeded $4 million.

InfoShare 2015 edition was a great success and has delivered the highest level of speakers and helped spreading and sharing many new ideas. It proved its title as the biggest in this part of Europe conference in new technologies, new media and start-up businesses with a great potential. The common feature of all these three fields is innovation.
