Hotel ICON welcomes Christian Tetedoie, Michelin-starred Chef and Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (M.O.F), to tailor design a dedicated French afternoon tea set for the hotels' lobby restaurant, GREEN. Available from 1 June to 31 July 2015, the afternoon tea set showcases Chef Tetedoie passion for French gastronomy.
Chef Tetedoie has won the prestigious title of the Best Restaurateur in France. Now he is President of the largest Association of Chefs "Maîtres Cuisiniers de France", the owner of LA VOUTE CHEZ LEA - the restaurant of Lyon authentic cuisine and of the namesake restaurant "Christian Tetedoie" which is awarded with Michelin star.
Together with the hotel Executive Pastry Chef Danny Ho, Chef Tetedoie has designed a set of authentic French savories and pastries. 7 kinds of savory treats include Cherry Tomato stuffed with Eggplant and Black Olives, Foie Gras with Strawberry Balsamic, Fresh Peas Velouté with Mint Cream, Potato Blinis with Salmon, Poultry of Dombes with Piperade and Meat Juice Vinaigrette, Deep-fried Frogs with French Mayonnaise, and Marinated Mackerel Fillet with Saffron Gel.
Continued with a collection of irresistible desserts which include Lemon and Meringue Tartlet, Floating Island with St. Genix Praline, Vanilla Panna Cotta with Strawberry and Salted Caramel, Strawberry Tartar with Basilic Mousse, Cottage Cheese Foam with Apricot Compote, Red Fruit Gazpacho with Shortbread, and Strawberry and Pistachio Pie. This afternoon tea set is definitely refreshing on a summer day.
