G Adventures has shown support for its Egyptian team by taking 120 employees from around the world on a four-day party and brainstorming trip to kick-start celebrations for the adventure operator's 25th anniversary.

Egypt was selected to show that tourism is on its way back and now is the best time to go. Travellers are slowly starting to return, with G Adventures reporting a 268% year-on-year increase on its bestselling Egypt tour, Best of Egypt, but this is a far cry from what is needed to revive the local economy, which relies massively on tourism.

Bruce Poon Tip, founder, G Adventures, says the party was held to celebrate the company's sales success, the beginning of its 25th anniversary celebrations, and to shine the spotlight on a destination where so many livelihoods depend on visitors.

Dubbed 'The After Party' in reference to following on from G Adventures' annual company event, G Stock, the four-day trip began in Cairo and travelled by overnight train to Aswan. Here the G team boarded a riverboat to take them to Luxor, where they spent time with children at a Planeterra project – G Adventures' non-profit organisation. To close, the Egyptian Tourist Board hosted the group at a private dinner inside Luxor Temple to thank G Adventures for its support.
