Tam Airlines to Move Operations to Heathrow Terminal 3 on 27 May

LATAM

TAM Airlines, part of LATAM Airlines Group, has confirmed it will move its operations from Heathrow Terminal 1 to Terminal 3 on Wednesday 27 May, taking the total number of airlines using the terminal up to 37.

The airline made the decision to move to Terminal 3 in order to offer a better experience to its passengers with a wider range of shops and restaurants, as well as making for easier flight connections, particularly for passengers flying to and from the Nordic countries. The changes are reflected in the airline's GDS from today.

TAM will continue to offer a daily direct flight between Heathrow and Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport, connecting to 115 South American destinations, and it is estimated that 740 TAM passengers will pass through Terminal 3 each day. Through its membership with the oneworld alliance, TAM's business class passengers will have access to the British Airways lounge at Terminal 3 while waiting for their flight to depart.

From 27 May, TAM passengers will be directed to check in at Zone E in the Terminal 3 building and the airline will use check in desks E2 38-43 until the end of August 2015.

Martin Modarelli, commercial director for UK & Northern Europe at LATAM Airlines Group, commented “We are delighted to announce our move to Heathrow's Terminal 3 on 27 May and are working hard to ensure a smooth transition between terminals for both our passengers and the travel trade. The new terminal will offer our passengers a great variety of shopping and dining options, as well as ensuring speedy connections and shorter distances between gates, all of which we hope will enhance the overall travel experience.”
