Skywise Receives Encouraging Response

SKYWISE

Skywise Airline is experiencing warm support from the South African public that continues to book their flights between Johannesburg and Cape Town, the airline's current domestic route.

Public support is matching the airline's expectations of making an impact in the early stages of operation. Cumulative numbers of passengers are enjoying wider choices and we promise to add more value to their experiences.

Says J. Malik, Skywise's Co-Chairperson: “We are being very well received bookings-wise and this warm response excites us.”

Similarly, our passengers are conveying to us their memorable comments on social media platforms. We are currently experiencing an upward presence on Facebook and Twitter.

“We are talking of excellent feedback that reflects the hard work and positive performance on our side. This is exactly what we wanted in terms of Service and we hope to build our future from this experience”, J. Malik commented on the passenger feedback.

He stresses that all Skywise staff and those at Menzies Aviation, who are contracted to render specific interface services, will receive some of the satisfied passengers' feedback. This goes a long way to encourage customer service performance and excellence.

“Staff thrives on these kinds of reports and it does encourage them to see that passengers are noticing their effort to provide excellent service,” says the Skywise Co-Chairperson.

Farther more, this has prompted management to explore the setting up of a Product Watchdog in-house, to keep track of customer feedback, and circulate these kinds of comments from the public.

With this kind of feedback, the projected flight capacity of 75% should be realized soon from the 60% capacity currently being experienced.

The future of aviation in South Africa not only sits well with Skywise's entrance onto the domestic market, but more importantly, the airline has brought about excitement to the domestic passenger aviation sector.

CEO John Borstlap commented: “We are delighted that Skywise is contributing to the growing mix of air traveler traffic and excitement, between the Johannesburg - Cape Town itinerary, recognized in the world's top ten busiest passenger air routes”.

Customer friendly and focused Skywise launched its scheduled daily flights on 5 March 2015.

It carries an estimated 15000 travellers, flying 28 times per week. Weekly flights are projected to rise to 52 by the end of April, 2015.

Meanwhile, inquiries continue to pour in from the public regarding the introduction of new routes to places like Port Elizabeth, Durban and East London.

As we grow, we are confident that all South Africans will love the slogan “less is more”, which sums up our vision to offer, unrivaled experiences from our low-cost and affordable air fares.

We are proud that the Skywise brand represents a real commitment to supporting future economic growth of South Africa, by efficiently facilitating the movement of people and goods within the country for now, and outside in the near future.

Our head office is in Sandton City, with operational bases in Cape Town and at Denel Aviation, adjacent Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport.
