See the famous untamed New Forest ponies that graze right up to the front gate of this house and cattle and pigs that roam freely throughout the forest and villages. An area famous for its abundant wildlife, it's not hard to spot deer, woodpeckers, buzzards, hawks and many of the diverse species that claim the forest as home.

Take your chairs and picnic along the ponds and streams where little ones can find huge numbers of beautiful dragonflies, newts and tadpoles. You can explore the forest in horse drawn carriages, chauffer driven mini bus or open top bus, or choose one of the easy going walks along gravel tracks and paths. The towns of Ringwood and Fordingbridge are close by for supermarket sweeps and the beautiful market town of Lymington with its Marinas and Golden Post Box in honour of the towns Olympic Hero, Sir Ben Ainslie is a short drive away.

Many award winning attractions for all ages and interests adorn this area. For children Peppa Pig World and Longdown Dairy Farm with its baby animals begging to be cuddled are firm favourites: Exbury Gardens, Beaulieu Palace and Motor museum and the historic boat building village of Bucklers Hard are great days out for the whole family. Want more adventurous thrills? There are oodles of activities – zoom down zip wires, don your face paint for woodland laser combat, (which doesn't hurt!) paddle up the Beaulieu River in kayaks and canoes or Segway tracks through the forest are just some of the activities if you want a couple of hours of fun.  

Eating out in The New Forest is a real treat. Try The Alice Lisle pub overlooking Blashford Lakes , great food and children's play area and only a seven minute drive. Pebble Beach  on the cliff top at Barton on Sea has coastal views to the Isle of Wight and beach below and Amarone Restaurant  hits the spot as an authentic Italian restaurant in Ringwood – all are favourite haunts!
