East Winds, St Lucia Announces New General Manager & New Guest Experiences

Essential Detail

EAST WINDS, ST LUCIA

NEW NAME, NEW GENERAL MANAGER & NEW GUEST EXPERIENCES

In January East Winds welcomed their new General Manager, Jesse Hamilton and St Lucia's much loved luxury boutique All-Inclusive hotel has decided to drop the 'Inn' from its name. After just 35 days in the job Jesse flew to the UK for a whirlwind trip to meet with the hotel's key UK travel industry partners. The UK accounts for some 80% of guests at this exclusive 30 room resort which has an impeccable, yet unstuffy style.

Jesse hails from Canada, having previously managed various resorts there, as well spending six years as Professor of Hospitality at Georgian College, Ontario. He says:“It is simply amazing to be here at East Winds, it is a very special place indeed! It is for that reason I wish to reassure everyone that first and foremost our goal is to maintain the 'essence of East Winds', yet add enhancements that can only benefit our guests experience with us”

Other new experiences for guests include a pre-arrival concierge service, an on-line check list allowing guests to choose such items as extra pillows and mini-bar contents in advance of their stay so that everything is ready for their arrival. There's also a new all day light-bite menu between 12.30pm and 7.00pm offering even more flexibility to guests and of course all part of the all-inclusive arrangement. This menu, along with drinks, are now served personally to guests on the beach and around the pool.

In the next couple of months a small gym and open air spa facility will be added in a private area of the beautiful grounds. Additional yoga and Pilates classes are being introduced to the already popular thrice weekly sessions.

A new concierge service … down on the beach, naturally … will offer a small number of hand-picked activities exclusive to the East Winds guests such as trips to historic Pigeon Island, island cocktail classes and land or sea barbeques. There's a well thought out social events calendar at East Winds if guests want to explore and be active, but otherwise there's always the peaceful beach and gardens.

Children over 8 years are welcome and the new Deluxe 2-bedroom garden cottages offer two rooms which interconnect on the balcony – perfect!
