Kirstie Bedford is an award-winning travel writer, trained journalist, editor and podcaster with more than 25 years of experience in the media.
She started her career as a hard news journalist reporting live from courtrooms and has since worked in print and digital publications across Australasia. She has held the editorship of six magazines, including as founding editor of Luxury Escapes magazine, is senior writer at Karryon Luxury, and a regular contributor to Signature Media publications and the New Zealand Herald.
Kirstie's passion for travel began as a six-year-old when she boarded her first international flight, and her enthusiasm to see new destinations, and learn about new cultures, has never waned.
When she's not writing for work, Kirstie is working on her crime fiction manuscript, which saw her win a scholarship to the Faber Writing Academy with Allen & Unwin.
